How It Works

After obtaining medical clearance, you can schedule a free consultation. During the consultation, we will discuss your injury/medical condition, lifestyle, and how to best achieve your goals.

We will also go through a functional movement assessment as well as a fitness assment. These assessments are important to determine your starting point with an exercise program. They will tell me what exercises will benefit you the most and what exercises are contraindicated. Every 4-6 we will re-assess to measure your progress and make sure we are on the right track.

At the end of the consultation we will come up with a timeline and an action plan to reach your goals in the most efficient manner. We will then schedule workouts (even those you do on your own as homework) ahead of time to keep you consistent. I will help keep you accountable and motivated every step of the way.

The Exercise Program

Each phase of training is designed to build upon the previous phase to ensure safe progression. The time it takes to complete each phase of training depends on the progression of the individual(s). Degree of injury, frequency of training, effort, age, and genetic factors all play a role in how quickly you progress. After completing all 3 phases of training you can continue to train on your own or cycle back through the training program at a new level. 

Phase 1
"​Foundation"
(4-6 weeks)

Goals
  • Increase core and joint stability by focusing on isometric holds and the eccentric portion of resistance exercises.
  • Improve or maintain range of motion through flexibility training.
  • Improve blood pressure and blood sugar regulation through cardiovascular exercise.


Phase 2
"Lean"
(4-6 weeks)

Goals
  • Increase motor unit recruitment and hypertrophy through increased resistance and metabolic demands.
  • Improve or maintain range of motion through active isolated stretching.
  • Increase cardiovascular endurance with safe and effective interval training methods.
Phase 3
"Athletic"
(4-6 weeks)

Goals
  • Increase maximal force production by increasing amount of resistance.
  • Increase speed of force production through plyometric, speed and agility training.
  • Maximize cardiovascular efficiency with higher intensity intervals.
